Minimum Requirements (Florida Security Guard Applicants)

• Must be 18 years or older (21+ for armed positions)

• Must have a valid Florida Class “D” Security License (and Class “G” if armed)

• Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident authorized to work in the U.S.

• Must pass a background check

• Must have reliable transportation to and from assigned posts

• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods

• Must have good communication and observation skills

• Must maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred but not required
